Late last year, the Three Stripes wrote its newest chapter in its adidas NMD book by introducing the new-look Racer silhouette. While the Racer boasts primarily the same construction as the original, it does come with a new racing-style traction pattern while shifting its midsole bumpers to the heel. Two new versions of this NMD will hit retailers at the end of this month, with one dressed almost entirely in black, and the other in white. The only reprise from an otherwise tonal aesthetic is the brief appearance of its counterpart on either the outsole or midsole. Official images of both NMD Racer sneakers are available below with an expected release date of May 31st.

John Geiger's 001 Gets Dipped in “Spray Rose”

Published

on

John Geiger‘s 001 silhouette is back in a brand new color choice. The upcoming drop follows the two-toned black and white iteration that released back in February. This time around peach, salmon and black come together to form its “Spray Rose” colorway, which is inspired by Geiger’s love for Kanye West‘s Don “Patchwork” Louis Vuitton model. Italian pebbled leather coats the upper with subtle branding incorporated on the tongue.

Retailing for $550 USD, Geiger’s 001 “Spray Rose” will arrive on May 26 exclusively on JohnGeigerco.com.

In relative news, you can listen in as Geiger stopped by to chat about the forthcoming 002 sneaker and more.

The Puma Thunder Spectra, one of the hottest new lifestyle silhouettes of 2018, is set to re-release this Thursday after originally dropping at the tail end of April. Inspired by the human anatomy, 90’s running shoes and Puma’s own archival McQ Runner, the silhouette offers a look that’s at once classic and fashion-forwards, nodding towards the past while still keeping its eyes firmly fixed on the future.

From a material/color standpoint, the Puma Thunder Spectra features an upper constructed of black mesh and leather with loud color blocking arriving via red, yellow, teal, and powder blue accents. The upper sits on top of of a chunky multicolored midsole with unique tooling that offers even more bright pops of color and manages to capture the essence of the current “dad shoe” trend perfectly, while a black outsole helps tie the flashy look together. Looking to get your hands on a pair of these head-turning Thunder Spectras? They’ll be restocking on Puma.com this Thursday, May 25th at 10am. Can’t wait until then? They’re also available at Stadium Goods right now.

Supreme x Clarks Originals Spring/Summer 2018 Weaver Collection

Published

on

Supreme continues its relationship with Clarks Originals, but this time in favor of the Weaver model rather than the Wallabee boot. The custom versions from Clarks Originals see a tonal upper in choice of red, green, pink, black and beige, and offer a distinct line of texture as the upper portion is made of suede while the footbed is made of premium leather.

With features like a crepe outsole and moc stitching, the Supreme x Clarks Weaver balances both brands’ customary traits while keeping branding minimal, as seen in the small Box Logos at the side of the heel, leather insole and shoe tag.

The Supreme x Clarks Originals Spring/Summer 2018 Weaver collection will release online and in the NY, Brooklyn, LA, London and Paris stores on May 24. Japan will see a May 26 release.

In other collaborative-fashion news, CARNIVAL teams up with Akira Toriyama and ‘Dragon Ball Z’ on a capsule collection.
